The girls have chores that they are responsible for, that they don't get paid for, that are just part of being a team player in our family. They don't get an allowance, but they love to have their own money to spend. We decided to make a list of extra chores that they could do, each one having a dollar amount and max number of times each week they could do them. I explained the system to the girls and how much money they could make each week if they did them all. Alaina was SUPER motivated right away and did almost every one that was available to her. Caitlin was motivated once she got approval for what she wanted to buy, blonde highlights.
She wanted me to video her cleaning. :)

Take advantage of it while you can. Alli and Ethan both have been eager to be able to move their chores on the chart from to do, to done. I still have to assign a dollar amount to some of them.
