Alaina's Sissy
Alaina absolutely ADORES her big sister! She could be hungry, crying, sleepy and if Caitlin comes near her, she is fascinated. Caitlin makes up songs and sings to her and she just loves it. It seems like they will have a very special relationship. I look forward to seeing it development!!
Alaina has started to enjoy tummy time finally. She loves this play mat where she can see herself. She really likes mirrors. I wonder if she knows she's looking at herself or if she just likes seeing the other baby looking back.

Friday 5 - Random Questions
1. Are you a MAC or a PC???
I love my iphone and I love my ipod so I can see myself one day being a MAC but for now I'm a PC. Even with all their problems, it's just comfortable and I know what to expect. I don't do well with unexpected change.

3. Which is your most cherished childhood memory?
I would have to say playing games with my family. I LOVE that we did this growing up. It helped us spend time together, made us communicate and helped create countless memories!!
4. What were you doing the last time that you had a good laugh?

5. What is your favorite book or magazine?
I just love books in general. I have more of favorite authors than books because I can go through a book in a couple days, especially with the Kindle app on my iphone - I can read ANYWHERE - waiting on someone, at home in bed, in the bathtub, etc. Some of the my favorite authors - David Baldacci, JD Robb, Catherine Coulter (FBI series), James Patterson, Robert Tanenbaum, Janet Evanovich.

2. If you could go anywhere on vacation this summer where would you go???
Well anywhere? Hawaii, Costa Rica, anywhere exotic with a beach. But this fall we are taking the girls to Outer Banks, NC and then in December Rusty and I are going on a cruise to 5 different exotic places so I'm not complaining!

I don't remember exactly, but most of the time this would be the scenario:
I'm trying to do something around the house or with the baby and Caitlin says something completely off the wall and I bust up laughing.5. What is your favorite book or magazine?

So cute!!
Friday Fives
This week - Five things to change in your life to make you a tad healthier. Hmm, that's not hard to figure out! Just look at all of my past Friday 5's.
1 - Quit eating so much McDonald's.
2 - Quit eating so much snacks (Cadbury mini eggs, chocolate covered cashews, Christie Cookies, etc).
3 - Exercise more.
4 - Eat better balanced meals at home.
5 - More scripture study time - this one if for my spiritual health - not physical.
Sadly, though, most of these require more time. Anyone have a time machine I can borrow??

Friday's Five
Again, I'm late doing the Friday Five's - Sorry Rusty and I had LASIK done and are still getting caught up.
This week's Friday's Five was five favorite pictures. SERIOUSLY, you expect a photographer to be able to pick only 5?!?! I'll have to just narrow it down to 5 favorite family pics and that will be hard enough.
Okay, I just looked and there is NO WAY I can only pick five. So, enjoy!

And these are just the ones I can get to on the internet!!
Mother's Day
Okay, I had every intention of making mom's Mother's Day gift, like I did for Rusty's mom. But I quickly was running out of time and my limited knowledge of painting was starting to worry me. Then I found through a blog of a friend of a friend, this website - LittleBits Designs. I quickly emailed her and told her what I wanted. I LOVE what she did!! If I could paint, it is exactly what I would have done. Go check out her work - she is awesome!!
So of course, I had to add some yummy goodness to the plates - Christie Cookies - the best!!

Caitlin's First Fish
Recently Rusty bought Caitlin her own fishing pole. Saturday was nice in the morning, so he took her down to the ponds in our neighborhood to try it out.

At first, Caitlin just wanted to play with the ducks and geese.
But eventually, she got down to business, Rusty caight a fish on his own in the beginning and we took some of Caitlin "reeling" it in. We weren't sure anything else would be caught, so we let her play like she was catching it.
And then, she started trying on her own. Not 5 minutes later, she had one hooked. I was so excited, I couldn't get the camera out in time to video her reeling it in. But here she is with daddy holding the fish. It was the largest one caught that day!

Black Widow Spider
Rusty has been struggling with what the doctors think is a black widow spider bite. I will not share pictures because it is disgusting! On Monday, the 3rd, he got under the house to clean out the flooding damage to our crawl space. A day later he noticed a spot that looked like an in-grown hair. Each day, it got bigger and hurt more. He left Wednesday, the 5th, for a guy's trip to Florida. By the time he came home on Saturday, it was infected and very very painful. He told me that he was worried about it. That says a lot - usually I am the worrier. So on Sunday, he took himself to a walk-in clinic while I took the girls to church. They thought it was a black widow bite that was infected. They gave him an antibiotic shot and a perscription for antibiotics and sent him on his way. Well, as of yesterday, it had gotten worse, not better so he went to see his normal doctor. It has been causing so much pain, he can only lay flat in bed. And Rusty has a HIGH pain tolerance. He once (unknowingly) lived with a broken bone for 6 months before asking a doctor about it. So yesterday, his normal doctor pushed and prodded on it and decided it needed to be cut open. He asked for a scalpel and proceeded to cut. No pain killer, no deadening, no nothing! (I'm so glad I wasn't there.) Then he squeezed and squeezed on it. I don't know how Rusty endured that!! But he's home now and it seems to be healing a little. Basically, the doctor said that it won't completely heal until all the poison comes out and that the poison is still deep inside his stomach. So I hope it comes out soon!!!
Allergic to School
I just got a call from Caitlin's school nurse. Caitlin was sent to the nurse because she was coughing. The nurse asked her if she felt bad. Caitlin proceeded to tell her that she only coughs at school so she must be allergic to school. What a stinker!!

Fun weekend
Friday was Caitlin's school's Spring Fling. It is their main fundraiser and ended up being a lot of fun. It was like a huge carnival.
Digging for treasure!
Riding the train!
Happy baby!
Then on Saturday, we went with friends to the zoo. Man, I love having a membership there!
Love the gibbons!
