Second Tournament Win

Wednesday nights game was against a team that has beaten us twice so we knew it was an important one. The girls did amazing! Caitlin hit her second home run ever and made several plays at first base.

She also had an injury. While running to second base, she was tagged and knocked down. It was a hard fall but she got up and kept going and didn't cry at all. Normally Caitlin backs away from physical confrontation in softball and concedes the out. This time she ran straight for the base and didn't back off. It paid off too since after the collision the second baseman dropped the ball and Caitlin was safe.

Alaina's first softball season is over . . .

After the game was over, they all got their medals.

She loved getting her medal!

And it appears she loves Coach Dustin even though she pretended not too all season!

All the little Wildcats with their medals.

And the last coaches speech.

Viva Las Vegas

I had to go to Las Vegas for a work conference so Rusty went with me. The view as we were descending was amazing!

We stayed at the Palazzo.  It was gorgeous.

Our room was fabulous.  It was on the 45th floor so we had great view of the city.

The bed and pillow was the most comfortable hotel room bed and pillow I've ever tried.

The Palazzo is connected to the Venetian.  It was pretty too.

Gondola rides

The first night, we ventured out and saw the city lit up.  It was fabulous people watching!

We stopped at the Bellagio and watched the water show.

Each morning, we woke to this.  Awesome!

I had classes during the day and some events at night.  At least I got a free massage from this nice lady!

And I got a free t-shirt.  Back the F:\ up.  Get it?  The F drive?  Nerd humor!!

Our company even showed up in a slide in one of my classes as a case study.  Cool!

This was the ENORMOUS room where I ate breakfast and lunch most days.  They fed 20,000 in an hour and a half and there was NEVER a wait!

Keynote speaches resembled rock concerts.

On Tuesday night, we were all invited through the conference to attend a go carting event.  Rusty is the one in green.

Then after that, we had an after-after party at TAO night club.  There were light up drinking glasses, light up sunglasses, neon bracelets and necklaces and free drinks.  People watching greatness!!

On Friday, we went to Freemont (the old strip).

And we saw Elvis, twice.

And last, we went to a great buffet at the Wynn casino.  It was gorgeous inside!!  Wouldn't mind staying there is we ever go back.
