Caitlin's baptism
Caitlin was baptized on Saturday into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We had friends and family from at least 8 different states join us.
It was a very moving program and I was so proud of how Caitlin conducted herself. She really listened to the talks and music and was so greatful for everyone who came. She later told me that she felt special and was honored.
I just LOVE that girl!!
And here's a few of Alaina . . .

Hairr family
We had a LOT of family come in town for Caitlin's baptism. Lara had the great idea to do some family pictures. We all put on our finest LSU gear and posed.
Grandaddy Loy - Love him!!!
Here's our little family!
Papa Larry with all the grandkids.
Nanny Glo with all the grandkids. Alaina was done with pictures by this point.
She made her escape!
I so wish we could have gotten Alaina to cooperate for just this one more.
I am so thankful to all the family who drove here for Caitlin's baptism and Harrison's blessing. We had such a great weekend with both sides of our family!!

Week of fun!
Last week, I took a few days off and had the whole week to spend with the girls (since Rusty was out of town working). I planned out our days so we did fun stuff all week, checking things off our bucket list.
Monday morning, we went to Krispy Kreme for breakfast.
And then went to Opry Mills for carousel rides . . .
(Kara joined us for the donuts and mall)
And Build a Bear.
Caitlin got a German Shepherd and she named him Rusty.
Alaina got her first little Build A Bear.
She named hers Berry.
Rusty
And Berry
Here Berry was going potty. (in the trashcan!)
That night, we had homemade pizzas and S'mores. We invited the girls down the street over and they all loved the S'mores! PS Microwave s'mores are so much better than campfire ones!!
On Tuesday, we went to the library and got LOTS of books. Then we had lunch with Giselle at Moe's. Since it was my birthday and we really couldn't shop on Monday wth Alaina, I took her to Mimi's and Caitlin and I went back to Opry Mills for shopping. We found lots of sales and stocked up on some school clothes for her and found a few things for Alaina too. Here is Alaina modeling her new jeans.
Later, Caitlin lost a tooth. She was playing with the three girls and Ashton accidentally knocked it out. We never did find the tooth.
That night, we went to the park to watch the Smyrna fireworks.
I don't know why Alaina kept doing this but I took a picture to capture her craziness. Notice her shoes are also on the wrong feet!
Wednesday, we read our library books and got everything ready for the family to come over to celebrate Independence Day. We ate pulled pork, potato salad, pasta salad, deviled eggs, and chips and had yummy ice cream cake for dessert.
Thursday, we went to the Dollar Store where the girls LOVED shopping for fun cheap stuff. Caitlin got a paddle ball and a slinky. Alaina picked out a stuffed Pig and I found her some cute alphabet and number foam puzzles.
Then we got her hair cut. I broke my no bangs policy.
She just won't let us put barrettes or bows in her hair and her hair was always in her face. So we are trying it out.
I don't really like them straight down.
I think they look messy still because she has curls.
But I can sweep them to the side and they are adorable.
After the haircut, we went to McDonald's to eat and play. Alli, Ethan and Heather came with us and the girls played, played, played.
That night, we went to Baskin Robbins for ice cream and Target. Caitlin's birthday money was burning a hole in her pocket!!
Alaina's first BR cone!
At Target, Caitlin bought herself a large Zooble and was determined to buy Alaina a baby doll. (She spent more on Alaina's than hers).
This is the babydoll she bought Alaina. It "poops" on its potty. It makes plop noises and you can "flush" the poop away. Hilarious!! Alaina LOVES it!
On Friday, we went swimming at the pool with Jeni and baby V.
Then played around the house.
Alaina loved dressing like a fairy. She turned me into a pumpkin several times.
I loved my week with them - they are such fun!!
