Skate Party

Alaina had her 6th birthday at the Skate Center.  She's only skated a few times but always enjoyed it.  This time was no different!

Band Concert

Last night was Caitlin's first band concert.  She's only been playing clarinet for 3 months so I wasn't expecting much.  It was surprising how well the band did with that little time.

She was so thankful for the family that came to support her.  She also loved the flowers Aunt Stephanie brought her!!

Twice Upon A Time

Caitlin has loved every minute of this play.  She's made so many friends and loved improving her acting.  She's already looking forward to the Spring play!

These are from her first night.  Afterwards, we gave her roses and went out for ice cream.  She said it was the best day ever!

Molly

This is Molly.  Alaina has wanted an "American Girl doll" for a while now.  She decided that she was going to save her money and buy one.  I tried explaining that America Girl dolls were very expensive and took her to Target to show her some similar dolls that are much more reasonable (a third of the price).  She decided she loved the Target ones and started saving her money.  After doing some research I found that the Toys R Us version of dolls (Journey Girls) had better hair so once she saved up enough money, that's what she bought.

So Alaina and Caitlin have been getting along REALLY well this week.  HALLELUJAH!!  All week long, they've had little slumber parties in each other's rooms, usually with Alaina camping out on Caitlin's floor.  I found these hilarious videos that Alaina made, apparently while Caitlin was sleeping.  Yes Alaina was supposed to already be asleep.

Percy is an acrobat!

Last night, when we got home from church, I had gotten Alaina to bed and I really just wanted to lay down and relax a little before having to go to bed.  Caitlin yells for me to come upstairs.  UGH! She made it sound like something was wrong with Percy.  So I ran upstairs . . .

 and found this!

Can you tell what he is doing?  He has two back legs holding on to the lid and his tail wrapped around a branch.  The rest of him is just dangling, in a back bend position.  What is he doing? Is that comfortable.  He looked so stiff, I was afraid he died in some strange attempt at a trick.  But no, he was breathing.  I guess this is what geckos do for fun!

It was interesting getting the lid off the tank so we could feed him.  I felt bad disturbing him, but props to Percy for the cool trick!

Haircuts

I'm not sure why I feel the need to take pictures every time the girls get their hair cut.  They didn't do anything drastic. Maybe it's because they just look so cleaned up.  LOL
