New Beginnings was last night and it went really well, especially considering we planned it in 2 weeks! We had a cruise theme since our new theme was embarking in the service of God.
I made cruise tickets as the invitations. The girls were excited about the cruise theme.
We tried to get as many girls involved as we could. We had each class president talk about part of Young Womens - personal progress, values, theme/motto, activities, etc.
I designed the program to be like the itinerary you get each day on a cruise. It had the theme on the back for those that might not know it.
We even had two girls design a backdrop that we could use for cheesy cruise photos.
As a handout, we bought each girl an anchor bracelet (found on Etsy). During the program the anchor was likened to the Gospel. It protects us during the storms of life.
For a treat, we ended with ice cream sundaes. The girls and parents all seemed to have a great time.
