The Tardis (Doctor Who)

 

The girls had fun at the Trunk or Treat.  Alaina loved this game the best and kept going back over and over.

Caitlin mostly loved walking around with friends, wearing my wedge booties and with hair and makeup all done up.  She loved how grown up she looked.

Pumpkin Patch FIeld Trip

Last week, Rusty went with Alaina on her first ever field trip.  She was so excited to get to ride the bus with her friends.

A few weekends ago, Alaina and I went to the park.  She played for a little while and then we walked the trail.  She let me take some pictures of her.

Meet the newest member of our family!

This is Bob!

He's a great addition to our family.  He helps out around the house, never talks back, picks up after himself, takes care of himself.  I love him!!!

Report Cards - Caitlin

Caitlin has been trying really hard for the past few weeks to get straight As.  For someone that struggles with bring organized, it has been hard for her.  She got off to a very slow start in middle school and had 2 Fs for a few weeks.  With that start, I am very proud of how far she came!  Already with this grading period, she is starting out strong and I just know she will reach her goal of straight As!

Report Cards - Alaina

The girls got report cards last week!

Alaina got good marks on everything they have learned so far.

I was going over it with her and on the words she knows, she read off most of the second column.  I guess they only test them on a few each grading period.  I'm glad her reading is coming along!

School Play

This girl auditioned for the school play last week. 

 

I was out of town and not able to help her practice like I would have liked.  On Friday, she found out the results.  She had auditioned for a minor role since there's 2 grades of older kids and she figured don't try for too much.  When she looked at the posting, she started with the minor roles and went down.  She didn't see her name but was okay with it because she said a lot of people auditioned and there weren't enough roles for everyone.  She went to class and one of her friends ran up to her yelling that she got a lead role.  She was shocked and ran back to where the roles were listed.  She had indeed gotten a lead role!  I am so happy for her!!

 

She later told me that after her audition they had her read another part, one that she hadn't read over.  I guess she ad-libbed pretty well because that is the part that she got.  She has already started  rehearsals 3 times a week and is loving it.  She will rehearse 3x/week until the performances which are Dec 4-5 (Friday and Saturday) at 7pm, if anyone wants to come.

Kindergarten Class

Alaina is absolutely loving Kindergarten!

 

Cousin Time

A few weeks ago, Noah and Eli were in town and the girls loved getting to play with them.

Alaina decided she did not like the close quarters of Twister so she and I played downstairs.
