End of Pre K

Alaina has LOVED being in Mother's Day Out.  It has done so much for her social skills!  She went in as a shy little girl with a surly attitude.  Three years later, she is a sweet little girl that all 3 of her teachers say they will miss seeing.  She was always quick to run and give them a hug and help with the smaller kids.  We are so proud of how far she's come!!

She aced her test to go to Kindergarten.  The teacher giving her assessment jokingly said she's ready for 1st grade.  Alaina was like, "Can I really skip?"

She had her graduation on Thursday.

Aren't they so cute in their little hats?

They let each one tell what they wanted to be when they grew up.  Rusty and I had no idea what she would say.  I don't think we have ever asked her.  Her answer?  Doctor!

They each got to put their rock in the garden.  Every student ever graduated has a rock.

And then they got to ring the bell.  Alaina rang it the loudest out of everyone.  I don't think this was on purpose.

Play date

The girls were excited about our playdate today.  Caitlin was especially excited about seeing Heather's new puppies.

Alaina loved playing with the tractor and the cousins more than the dogs, though.

She was wore out, though!  I went to the store for a few things and came back to this.  I had to wake her up for dinner.  She sleepily ate one piece of pizza and then went straight to bed.

Girls with Curls

Alaina has been obsessed with my curly hair lately and wants hers to be exactly the same.  This morning I curled it for her and she wanted some pictures of us together.

Who is this girl?

Last weekend we were out shopping and Caitlin took this selfie to send to Rusty.  Wow, she looks like a teenager!  It's like she grew up over night!!

Easter

Emily invited us for Easter lunch and I was so glad!!  1. We didn't get home until Sunday morning and didn't have any food to eat.  2. She makes amazing food and this meal might have been my favorite so far out of all the times we've eaten at her house.

I was in charge of the easter egg hunt.  While at Lara's, I bought the eggs and candy and the girls helped me stuff them at the hotel on Saturday night.

Then the kids wanted to have a challenge to see who could keep a warhead in their mouth the longest.  Brandon won!  (He secretly likes how sour they are).

Spring Break - Friday

Friday was our last day so we all slept in and then just went to play at the park.  Caitlin was invited to her friend's house so she played there the whole day.  She had a blast.

At naptime, since Caitlin was having her own fun, I took advantage and took Alaina for some one on one time.  We went to run a few errands and went to Dairy Queen for lunch and ice cream.
This was her eating her banana.

She, of course, had to see how much she could fit into her mouth.

After naps, everyone played in the back yard with bubbles.

The boys also thought it was fun to chase bees with tongs.

Every night, my girls loved to help give the boys a bath.

Then my favorite part was getting to dry them off and getting them dressed for bed.

It was fun to be part of the nighttime routine.
