Spring Break - Tuesday

For Tuesday, we had planned to go to Busch Gardens all day.  Alaina woke up screaming about her leg hurting.  She cried every time she tried to walk, stand or even sit up.  We found some children's tylenol to give her but I wasn't sure what to do.  She's not the type to fake being sick and it's not like we were about to go do something she didn't want to do.

After several doses of medicine and some googling, I'm thinking it was just growing pains.  I had them when I was her age and I remember thinking that I was dying.  It would explain the hysterics.  Every time it hurt, I massaged it and it seemed to help.  By the afternoon, she was better and able to walk.  She liked knowing that the pain was because her legs were growing and she was getting taller.

So that afternoon, we went to the beach to play instead.  It was too cold to go in the water, but playing in the sand was fun and we finally got to feed some seagulls.

Can you see Caitlin way out there on the rocks?

There were so many of these tiny jellyfish right by the shore line.

The kids had fun burying and uncovering all these toy dinosaurs.

Feeding the seagulls . . .

I love these pictures of us!

By then, though, the boys were tired and didn't want to take a picture.  :(

It still ended up being a fun day.

Spring Break - Monday

On Monday, we went to a living museum.  The girls loved it.

After the museum, Lara took Leo to his 2 year checkup and we played with Harrison at home.  Alaina found this fabric and wanted to wear it as a skirt.

When Lara got back, she said it was really nice outside so we all went for a walk.  We were going to try to feed some pigeons but there weren't any out.
