Eighth day: San Juan, Puerto Rico

We stayed one extra day in Puerto Rico.  This was our view from the hotel. It was close to the port and you can see our cruise ship.

We rented a car and drove to El Yunque Rainforest.  Before we even were in the rainforest, we saw this guy crossing the road!
We had to stop to take some pictures.

The rainforest was beautiful!

I'm pretty sure we hiked the Big Tree Trail to La Mina Waterfall and then we hiked out on the La Mina trail and then walked back to our car (parked near Big Tree Trail).  I don't know how far we walked, but it felt good to do something active after relaxing and eating non stop for 7 days.

Wow it was humid!!

Rob also climbed up and got us some oranges from this tree.

Later that night, we walked around Old San Juan and has some yummy Puerto Rican food at Genesis.
And then flew home.

Seventh day: At sea

Our last day was at sea.  We played some pool.  They had these pool tables that were self balancing.  So as the ship moved, the pool table would tilt so the balls wouldn't roll.  It was cool, but could make you really nauseous watching it.

For lunch, they brought out this HUGE cake for everyone.

Yes, I am too cheap to buy the picture they took of us.  It was actually a good one so I snuck a picture of it.  I tried to lay it on the ground for a better one, but they saw and I got in trouble.  LOL

And then there's this gem!
They had this picture made and were hoping we would just "come across it" while looking at the others.  It didn't turn out like that and they had to come clean and tell us what they did so we could all search for it.  We finally found it behind some of the other pictures.

I spent most of my day at sea doing this!

The other 2 cruises we have done, we just shared a table the four of us.  I was less than pleased on the first night to see 3 other couples at our table.  I was afraid it would be awkward and not as fun.  I was worried for nothing!  We really enjoyed the other people.

Our last night on the boat.  The kitchen crew came out and sang, "Leaving on a Jet Plane".

This is the saddest part of a cruise.  Putting your bags out in the hall for them to be picked up and loaded.  :(
It means it's over.
