Another Win . . . barely!

First of all, I remembered to take my camera this time.  But I forgot to grab an extra set of batteries and of course my battery died!

Here is Alaina being stubborn.  Such a cute stubborn girl, but stubborn nonetheless.  It was freezing last night!  And here she is refusing to wear her jacket or keep her shoes on.

Do you see the people behind her wearing coats and hoodies?  It was cold!

I don't know why she was being so stubborn.  She was literally shivering and still would not put the coat on.

Here's the only pics I got of Caitlin before my battery died.  This is her warming up before batting.  She did better batting.  Each at bat, she foul tipped the ball but hasn't gotten a hit yet.

The team got out to an early lead.  I think at one time is one 9 to 1.  There were a few bad ump decisions, but they handled them well.  Slowly, though, they let the other team creep back and barely won 12 to 11.

And Caitlin wants to thank Nana, Ben and Stephanie for coming to cheer her on!!

Starting to jump

Ms Patty let Caitlin jump for the first time last night.  Caitlin LOVED it!!

I love how she looks back to see if she clears it.  Also, you can kinda tell she is starting to post correctly.  Instead of just bouncing up and down while trotting, Patty taught her to control going up and down in the seat.  Patty said it takes a lot of practice but she did really well with it.

Memphis and Easter

Rusty's dad was going to be in Memphis this weekend so we met him there and were able to visit for a few days.  It is such an easier drive if I sit in the back with the girls.  We had some fun taking pictures.

Each girl has a big bag that they take on road trips and they can fill it with stuff to do in the car.  Alaina had her blanket, books, play computer, baby dolls, Dora, etc.

Caitlin took her blanket and Hercules - her HUGE dog.  She really had to stuff him to get him to fit.

Alaina and Larry.  She was calling him Pop Pop.

Caitlin hadn't seen Avan in two years and they didn't really remember each other.  But within 10 minutes, they were thick as thieves again.  They played on the playground, shared video games, and wanted to ride together everywhere we went.

Avan brother, Cason, was turning one and we were invited to the party. 

The kids got to decorate their aprons and chef hats.

And then they got to decorate their own cupcakes.

Caitlin left a donut out for the Easter Bunny.

The girls got some fun treats in their baskets this year.

Caitlin got lots of candy and a hand held sewing machine.

Alaina got lots of Sesame street and Dora books and coloring books.

Caitlin's first game

Well, the first game was a win!!  I regret that I forgot my camera and didn't even take any pictures or video with my phone.  Caitlin struggled with her hitting, but since it is fast pitch and brand new to her, that was to be expected.  On her last at bat, she did get a foul tip, so she got close.  In the field, she only got one ball hit to her, but it was at a pivotal point in the game.  Her team led the whole game and in the bottom of the last inning, the other team was making a comeback.  They had one on base and were down by two runs.  The hit went to Caitlin in center field.  She stopped and threw in to second base stopping the runners from advancing any further.  They then were able to get the final out without anymore runs.  They won by 2.
