Friday 5's

5 Things that are always in my fridge - and trust me, you DON'T want pictures of my actual fridge.

1.  Milk, yummy
2.  Eggs - I LOVE boiled eggs in my salad, egg salad sandwiches, and scrambled eggs for breakfast
3.  Sandwich supplies - I don't cook much so sandwiches are often necessary for dinner
4.  Salad makings - love my salads!
5.  And last, these:

So what exactly can this thing do?

Rusty had an old Motorola cell phone lying around and gave it to Caitlin to play with.  She was carrying it everywhere.  One day we were driving somewhere and she had it with her.  This was our conversation:

Caitlin:  So how do I make calls with my phone?
Us:  It's not hooked up to make calls.
Caitlin:  So when are you going to set that up?
Us:  We aren't.  You don't need to call people on it.
Caitlin:  But I can text, right?
Us:  No, it's not set up to do anything.
Caitlin:  So it just has games.

By this time, I am dying laughing!
Us:  No, Caitlin, it's just a pretend phone.

Funny, now she doesn't seem to carry it around anymore.

Sick day

Rusty and I are both sick today and stayed home from church. We've been pretty lazy today, trying to feel better. So just a few minutes ago, I was making a salad in the kitchen and rusty had finished feeding Alaina. He put her on the floor to crawl around and explore. I hear her fussing a few minutes later and went to find her, wondering what she had gotten in to. I found her going up the steps. She had already made it up two steps and was starting on the third! I about had a heart attack!! I guess it's time to pull the baby gate out of the attic!

First Grade

First grade is going really well.  We are so happy with Caitlin's teacher this year.  She has told us that her favorite thing to do as a teacher is to teach kids to read.  This is the only area that I think Caitlin has struggled.  Reading hasn't come easy for her and it frustrates her.  This year, so far, has been a breeze for her.  I am so thankful for the teacher she has this year!!

Eating M&Ms - this will scare many of you with how weird I am.  But when I eat M&Ms, I eat two at a time, they have to be the same color and I eat one on each side of my mouth.  I am laughing at myself as I type this.  But this is what I do - I know, it's weird!

Finally - a nice day

Yesterday, on the way home from work, I realized that it was really nice weather outside.  I decided then that the girls and I were going for a walk when I got home.  So I changed clothes and we were off on our adventure.

Caitlin wanted to push Alaina.
