I already miss my babies!

Caitlin and Alaina are spending the week with their Nanny Glo in Texas.  I'm so glad that they get this chance to be with her and make some wonderful memories.  I know Caitlin loved it last year.  The house is so quiet now.  It was nice for about a day and then then it got old.  I do miss my babies!!

Tame Butterflies

Saturday at the pool we saw lots of butterflies.  This one landed on Caitlin, Alaina and I and was so tame.  It landed in Caitlin's hand and stayed for so long, I got lots of pictures and video.

 

Birdies

This is the second year in a row that a bird has built a nest at the top of our front porch on a one inch section of brick.  I can't believe there is enough stability to support a nest but twice now, it has occurred and baby birdies were born.  Every morning I come out to run, they are all sitting there in a row looking down on me.  It would be cute except . . .

. . . for the HUGE mess they are leaving on our front porch!! 

Uh gross!!

They need to be relocated ASAP and the front porch pressure washed.  :(

Library Time

A few nights ago, we went to the library.  Thankfully, my girls love books!  Caitlin got a few new books to read.  Alaina found a new love - the computers at the library.  She listened intently as it read the Cat in the Hat to her.  She kept repeating what was happening to me.  She was fascinated!!

She said, "Oh no!" and covered her face.

Happy Birthday to Me!!

This might be my favorite birthday gift ever!  I've already made at least 3 batches.  I've made vanilla, cookies 'n' cream and Reece's.  And they have all been easy and delicious!!!!!

ROC Race

Softball party and Discovery Center

While Rusty was away working, Caitlin's softball team had their team party.  Caitlin got her trophy and got to visit with her team one last time before moving up.

Caitlin also used her birthday money to buy some XXL beanie boos.  She is SO in love with these guys!

Then we went to the Discovery Center on one of those days when it wouldn't quit raining.

Our new favorite part of the Discovery Center is the shadow room.  You turn on a certain light, pose foe 10 seconds, then flip the other switch and you can pull away and see your shadow.  The girls LOVE it!!

Happy Birthday!

We celebrated Caitlin's birthday on Thursday night at Sky High Sport.  All the kids seemed to have a blast!

Cake time!  Caitlin wanted an ice cream cake, specifically the one from Publix.  It was actually really good and we will probably getting another one soon.  :)
